As you can see, Christianity and official Mormon teachings are vastly different even though both claim to believe in God and have faith in Jesus Christ.

NOTE: This post DOES NOT say that Mormonism is a sociological, psychological, or dangerous cult. Over the past 15 years, many Mormons have contacted us saying they do not believe the official teachings of their church and they do believe in Jesus Christ as the one who has atoned for all sin, past and present, once for all.

  1. Very effective to concentrate on doctrinal differences only. Too many people want to identify Mormonism only with its practices.

  2. Yes, Latayne, I agree. Many Mormons are fine people: honest, hard working, and lovely neighbors. But the official doctrine of the church should not be confused with Christian doctrine, even though some of the words used are the same. I’m glad to see this issue coming to forefront.
